Christmas Shopping at Liberty
Shopping online offers us the world’s best products at our fingertips, 24 hours a day which is undeniably convenient, BUT there is still something extra special about doing some of your Christmas shopping in physical stores. The hustle and bustle, the Christmas songs, the blast of cold air as you leave the shops laden with carrier bags... We like to make a day of it with friends or family, with a lunch pit stop to assess what’s left on the list and, of course, if we’re in London there’s a one-stop shop to get everything crossed off your list. Today we’re sharing our insider's guide to Christmas Shopping at London’s most lavish emporium and iconic department store, Liberty. Here are 5 spots you simply can’t miss…
The Beauty Hall
One of our absolute favourite destinations in Liberty is the beauty hall, especially at Christmas. Full of the most luxurious and coveted beauty buys, in this ground floor haven you’ll find something for even the pickiest of beauty purveyors. Spend time perusing everything from breathtaking fragrances and indulgent skincare to haircare heroes and the world’s best cult cosmetics. We’ve no doubt you’ll come out with gifts galore and maybe a little treat for yourself.
Coco & Wolf Concession
Well it wouldn’t be a trip to Liberty without riding the iconic lifts up to the fourth floor and visiting the Coco & Wolf concession, would it?! Stop by and let our gorgeous team help you shop for your most favourite people this Christmas. The Coco & Wolf concession stocks everything from the most-coveted silk pillowcases and table linen to bedding sets and irresistible cushions, so even if you’ve left the Christmas shopping a little late, you can still have all of these Coco & Wolf goodies wrapped up and under the tree in no time.
Stationery Shop
Your one-stop shop for all of your paper needs at Christmas, the Liberty stationery department packs a small but mighty punch. We can't ever resist the charms of luxurious gift wrap and cards which hit the right note every time. If you’ve got stationery lovers to buy for this Christmas, here you’ll also find a beautiful selection of notebooks, pens and other stationery delights. The standout of this department, however, has to be the service, it’s some of the very best in Liberty. Take a visit and let us know if you agree.
The Christmas Department
Despite opening its doors in August each year, there’s something particularly magical about the Christmas department in December. With a draped ceiling of twinkling lights, row after row of the most beautiful baubles, always a jazzy Christmas number playing and hundreds of options for additional festive accoutrements it really is the most wonderful place. At this time of year the festive buzz in the Christmas department could win over even the most scrooge-like of people, and, the best part? It's on the same floor as Coco & Wolf!
The Central Atrium
Arguably the most iconic spot in Liberty, a visit to the central atrium is a must year-round. This gallery-like space is always filled with incredible art installations and designs and this Christmas is no different. As you gaze upward you will not only be visually delighted, but you will get a real sense of the history behind London’s landmark department store.
Are you planning a trip to Liberty this Christmas? We'd love to know what's on your shopping list and where you're headed to first. Who knows, we may even see you there!
