Our Latest Organic Liberty Fabrics

With it's lustrous form, beautifully warm and soft touch and perfect companionship to Liberty's original Tana Lawn™, there's very little not to love about the latest offering from the Liberty fabrics team, Organic Tana Lawn™. We're committed to bringing more of the fabrics you love to the products which adorn your home and this spring summer season we're working with two beautiful Organic Liberty fabrics, Mitsi in pink and Donna Leigh in yellow, two beguiling florals which lend themselves wonderfully to the bedding, table linen and homewares Coco & Wolf are famous for.

Meal Planning (and why we love it)

Meal planning. I’m not going to try and fluff it up - it’s not by any means sexy, but it is a total game changer. I’ve been both types of people: the meal planning queen which naturally suits my organised persona and the person who visits the supermarket every day, staring longingly down the aisles hoping some inspiration will come (spoiler alert, it never does). Let me tell you, the latter makes me miserable. Our family ends up eating the same old, boring things, we spend more, both in time and money, and the food waste is less than exemplary, none of which sits easily with me. So, we’re back on the meal planning bandwagon and we love it.

Exclusive Print Spotlight: Betsy Sunflower

With Liberty fabrics comes a worldwide collective of print lovers, ourselves included. And while everyone has their own personal favourite you will be hard pushed to find anyone who doesn't like, or love, Betsy. Part of Liberty's Classics collection since 1982, Betsy's closely woven florals have an everlasting appeal which lend themselves beautifully to an array of colour combinations. Coco & Wolf have already reworked this classic in our nostalgia inducing, Candy Floss and rich, earth toned Aubergine, but today we're showcasing our latest, and dare we say favourite, Betsy exclusive to date.

A Temporary Pause on Maximalism

As we enter a new year it’s hard to resist the excitement and lure of new beginnings and a clean slate. Last year we spoke about a resolution revolution and this year we’re bringing the conversation back to our homes and thinking about how January is a great time to have a shake up there, too.

Tana Lawn™ changed the textile industry forever and remains a cherished aspect of Liberty’s heritage today. Coco & Wolf championed this smooth plain weave for years before introducing Liberty’s iconic Silk to our range, and now we’re thrilled to add the latest offering from the fabrics team, Organic Tana Lawn™ cotton.

Whether you’re the kind of person who has almost everything wrapped up by the end of November or you prefer to keep your Christmas prep a little more, shall we say, spontaneous, there’s one thing for certain when it comes to gifts - you will want everyone to feel special.

The Joy of Gathering

There’s no denying, last year’s more pared back celebrations seem to really have upped the ante when it comes to planning for the impending Christmas season. While the world has been talking about the joy of missing out recently it’s suddenly shifted as we now enjoy the anticipation of spending time with our nearest and dearest during the season of good cheer.

A New Favourite Christmas Recipe

Trying to pick a recipe to share with our wonderful customers over Christmas was tricky. Should it be a sparkly cocktail for seasonal soirees? A festive make to be given as gifts, or, something for the main meal? All of them would have been appreciated, I’m sure, but then I was reminded of this recipe and wasn’t able to forget about it, and so here we are! This celeriac gratin is quick and simple enough to not feel like a huge undertaking (and it can be made ahead of time); it will give you a new idea for a seasonal vegetable you probably don’t use very often and it’s so delicious, rich and comforting that everyone will love it. Sounds pretty perfect, wouldn’t you agree?

For many of us, the Christmas table is a huge part of the merry making. It’s a place of celebration, a place to gather and should always have a little bit of festive magic.

The last couple of years changed the way we think about so much. Whilst it goes without saying we all feel so much more appreciative of our health, loved ones and the places we call home, it certainly seems to have encouraged a shake up in our safe places. Last year there was a well documented surge in home improvements, but thankfully (can you tell I’m a very reluctant DIY-er?) that now seems to have given way to a focus on the actual decor of rooms. This has seen people gravitating more towards affordable updates, a switch up of soft furnishings, changing artwork and giving the furniture a good move around.

Introducing Skye McAlpine Tavola

The entire team at Coco & Wolf have long admired the delicious recipes, sentiment of sharing and wonderful styling created by Skye McAlpine. A cookery writer who divides her time between London and Venice, Skye believes that food tastes best when shared with others. The author of two incredible cookbooks (which are always our go-to when gathering and hosting), she also writes a regular recipe column for The Sunday Times and contributes to a number of publications around the world including Vogue, the Daily Telegraph and Vanity Fair. A love of entertaining and sharing her home and food, are at the heart of everything she does and we absolutely adore her for it, therefore, we couldn’t have been more thrilled when we were asked to work with Skye in creating Liberty fabric table linens for her latest pursuit, Tavola.

Everywhere I look at the moment, people are reading. Inviting and cosy coffee shop corners are peppered with people lost in the pages of a novel and park benches have become a place to be transported in space and time when devouring a page turner. Scrolling social media brings book recommendations a-plenty and our like minded peers discuss their increased knowledge thanks to words which have lifted off pages and entered their minds, challenging and improving understanding. This reading resurgence is a huge indicator we're all seeking some solace and escape from everyday life, especially in the wake of the last 18 months.

Overnight guests have felt like an ancient myth until recently and the lack of visitors for the last 18 months means guest rooms everywhere are looking a little neglected. But, it really does feel such a treat to be the host and welcome loved ones into our homes again and if you’re anything like us you want to make them feel special when they do stay the night.
