Supernatural Prints

Neutral Liberty fabrics exude timeless elegance with unmatched versatility, making them a forever-favourite of Coco & Wolf. We understand how important it is to have delicate motifs and barely-there colour palettes to complement Liberty’s more vibrant designs when print pairing. We also understand that for some, creating a contemporary aesthetic means using fabrics across bedding and table linen which offer refined simplicity and subtleties. As a brand, we appreciate both stances and take great joy in recolouring some of Liberty’s most iconic prints in neutral and monochromatic colour ways. Let us introduce you to our beloved supernatural prints.

Natural Neutrals | Ianthe White

Ianthe is a quintessential example of French Art Nouveau design, originally created as a wallpaper border by R. Beauclair in c.1902 and reworked for Liberty in 1967. Ianthe White is a monochromatic design, with the textured ground softly visible through the chalky pigments layered on top. We adore this white on white design for its versatility, pairing effortlessly with Liberty florals, stripes and conversational prints.

Natural Neutrals | Betsy Lace

The original Betsy print is a tightly-knit floral design, developed by the enigmatic D.S in the 1930s. It is often heralded as one of Liberty’s most adored house patterns - iconic, if you will. Betsy Lace is a luxurious neutral packed with shades of barely-there blush, pale grey and white developed exclusively for Coco & Wolf. This diffused design not only offers a contrast to Liberty’s usual colourful prints, but works triumphantly in bringing a sense of ataraxy to our favourite spaces.

Natural Neutrals | Michelle Sand

Michelle is a 1930s floral developed from a Liberty archive design dating from 1933. Created by D.S., the same artist behind two other iconic Liberty prints, Betsy and Wiltshire. Our exclusively developed Sand colourway is a must-have neutral floral, with with luxurious, natural hues of taupe, mushroom, sand and peach. This pale and interesting Coco & Wolf exclusive perfectly complements soft shades for a luxuriously neutral collection.

Natural Neutrals | Capel Taupe

First printed by Liberty fabrics in 1978, Capel was inspired by a vintage style of Liberty floral dating from the 1930s. A small, loosely-drawn design with an all-over repeat, it is a classic small scale floral which has become a paradigm of Liberty’s prints. Recoloured exclusively for Coco & Wolf, Capel Taupe partners taupe and white for a classic and transitional print.

Are you a neutral-lover? Or do you have lots of colour in your home highlighting the need for more pale and interesting accessories? Which print would you pick to introduce?
