Easter in Bloom | Joyful, maximalist tables
This year it feels as though we’ve all been looking forward to Easter more than ever. Along with its religious significance to Christians, Easter is a celebratory time that ushers in a sense of positivity, joy, and much-needed cheer with the promise of summer days to come. With gatherings of six people or two households now permitted in private gardens, for many Easter will also bring with it a chance to see loved ones and gather them around a table once more.
Whether you’re having an outdoor springtime spread or a traditional Easter roast at home, we’re sharing a beautiful, maximalist table scape with you today, to inspire you to create your very own Easter in bloom - because one print is never enough!
A WORLD OF COLOUR
After the egg hunt there really is nothing better than sitting down at a charming colourful table for a long leisurely lunch with loved ones. The Easter weekend naturally lends itself particularly well to creative scenes and maximalist print layering (although try and stop us any other time of the year!!) - a true celebration of Spring! The days of a lacklustre tablecloth and a few placemats are gone, so get to know Coco & Wolf’s gorgeous table linen and soon you’ll be creating your very own layered table of joy!
Our table’s delightful foundations come from our Gathered Edge tablecloth made in our exclusive Liberty fabric, Betsy Candyfloss, with a scallop edge table runner layered on top. This scene shows Mitsi Valeria but the runner is fully reversible so you could show the contrasting Capel instead. Ruffle circle placemats are the perfect spot for serving dishes whilst the most fabulous finishing touch comes from our Scallop Napkins, which match the runner with their stunning print mix of Capel and Misti Valeria.
THE FINAL FLOURISH
We don’t believe in keeping things for best, if you love them, use them! The finishing touches for your table can come from your favourite crockery, cutlery and Spring blooms. Why not have a crafternoon with the children and create some hand lettered scallop edge place names for the table too? Trinket dishes full of mini eggs are our favourite finishing touch, because who can ever say no to those?!
