Celebrating Easter: Bring Spring to your Table

Easter is such a special time of the year. There’s an air of optimism as we celebrate the season of new beginnings and there are few tasks as joyful as planning pretty tables for lunches and teas and excitement-filled Easter egg hunts. Every home will have its own Easter traditions but thankfully these seem to come with minimal pressure when compared to Christmas which is certainly part of the reason that Easter is so universally enjoyed. One of our favourite traditions is gathering our favourite people around a spring table and we'd love to share our tips for creating something special.

Bring Spring to your Easter Table

As big fans of a seasonal tablescape, you’ll never see us shy away from creating a beautiful and playful Easter table. It’s always a pleasure to create pretty place settings everyone will enjoy and if you haven't before make this the year you try your hand at creating an Easter or Spring table.

Colour simply cannot be ignored at Easter; with the landscape finally bursting into flower (thank you frothy blossom, dancing daffodils and magnolia trees) and nostalgia-inducing foil wrapped eggs in all their kaleidoscopic glory everywhere your table should reflect this. Plus everyone needs an antidote to the grey days left behind, at the moment. We’ve utilised three of our most joyful prints to bring spring to our Easter table with Spring Blooms and Betsy Citrus Napkins sitting beautifully atop the daisy-print reversible Alice W tablecloth. How many prints and pieces you add to your table is a personal choice, of course. Who says you can’t have placemats as well as tablecloths, certainly not us here at Coco & Wolf! We’ve experimented with maximalist and abundant tables previously, while this year we lean into a less is more approach, and both are joyous in their own ways.

Another must-have is a playful approach. Really lean into the theme and get creative with details and flourishes which will delight young and old guests alike. Napkins tied as bunny ears, colourful vases of spring flowers, eggs and even carrots all make perfect decorative additions. Potted spring bulbs are a fantastic alternative to cut flowers and are more sustainable too as you can plant them out afterwards - or, do as we do and let your guests take them home as a sweet reminder of a lovely Easter afternoon - tulips, daffodils and hyacinths are all in season around Easter.
