For me Liberty’s fabric is the nicest fabric you could ever dream to work with. The inspirational prints that bring pieces to life, the silky smooth feel as it runs through the sewing machine, the fluidity when garments are worn, the luxurious feel of it on your skin, it is just magical and oh so special.
Liberty fabric appeals in so many ways, not least the versatility of the cloth. From the tiniest of dresses to the prettiest of bedding, new designs are brought to life when made up in the fabric.
The quintessentially British prints are synonoumus worldwide. The classic Liberty prints are instantly recognisable; they often evoke memories and feelings from childhood. The fabric has a timeless heirloom quality makes you feel like every piece you make will last forever, treasured and handed down through generations.
We have a core range of Liberty prints that we always have in stock, these prints are classics. We launch seasonal collections bi annually for both clothing and interiors, through which we introduce the new print collections we have chosen.
Betsy in grey will always be one of our favourite prints, it is famous, timeless, classic, pretty, muted, understated and looks great in everything we make. Originally designed in 1933 by a print designer with the initials DS (which you can see hidden in the print), it has been in their classic collection since 1982! "
