Celebrate The Coronation with a Picnic

Next month sees The Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort, with events across the country and a concert at Windsor Castle. Their Majesties want to encourage people to spend the Coronation Weekend celebrating with friends, families and their communities. Saturday 6th May will see The Coronation at Westminster Abbey, on Sunday 7th May The Coronation Big Lunch will encourage neighbours, communities and friends to share food and fun together. And what better way to share food and fun than with a beautiful picnic?

Build Community Spirit and Celebrate the Coronation Together

As purveyors of beautiful picnics we need little excuse to lay out the picnic blanket, load up the basket and invite friends and family to join us for alfresco dining. This year, Coco & Wolf’s love for picnics means being a part of history and joining millions across the UK and further afield with the Coronation Big Lunch and we cannot wait!! As this is a historic event which should bring the community together we’re taking our picnic to the front garden and encouraging our neighbours to, too. It certainly feels fitting given King Charles’ is Patron of the National Gardens Scheme and wholeheartedly supports the nation’s passion for gardens, as well as enjoying gardening as a hobby himself. If you don’t have a garden then why not create an event at a local park or garden? You can find lots more information on The Big Lunch website.

Celebrate the Coronation with a beautiful picnic

A Picnic fit for a King

As events go, they don’t come much bigger than crowning a new monarch, so this is the time for your usual picnic to be elevated and celebrated! Our Liberty fabric picnic blankets provide the perfect backdrop and luxury cushions add much-needed comfort while beautiful floral bunting is the ultimate celebration decoration. Fill your picnic basket with delicious treats so you’re not to and fro to the kitchen and can really soak up and enjoy the atmosphere and company. While Sunday afternoon picnics in the park may call for something a little less breakable, if there was ever a time for proper cutlery, crockery and glassware this is it!! And don't forget some best of British, Liberty fabric napkins. With a long history of celebratory street parties for patriotic events, there’s no denying the UK really does know how to build community spirit and celebrate together.

All that's left for us to do is invite friends, family and community and pray for sunshine! Will you be joining in with The Coronation Big Lunch and sharing a beautiful celebratory picnic?
