Many of our favourite Liberty fabrics are a exuberant display of layered florals and this rich heritage of floral design provides us with an abundance of inspiration. In fact, the art of layering has become intrinsic to Coco & Wolf, with our curation of seasonal fabrics centred around how they work together. But how else can these layered floral designs inspire us in our homes?
LAYERED FLOALS INSPIRATION
LAYERED FLORALS IN YOUR HOME
Aside from the textural assemblage of your favourite Coco & Wolf pieces with mix and match florals complementing one another across beds and tables, we also love layering up blooms in seasonal displays. On dining tables and fireplaces we layer lots of single stems of different hues and varying heights in glass bud vases which creates a generous and cheery display, reminiscent of our favourite Liberty prints. On bedside tables where these isn’t room for a plethora of bud vases we mix seasonal stems and foliage in small jugs or vases for unique, layered and colourful display which mirrors the same approach used for the bedding.
Your favourite Liberty prints can also inspire spring posies for parents, grandparents or even favourite teachers at Easter. Leave the uniformed single flower-type bunches behind and instead create layered posies tied with Liberty scraps for an extra special touch. And while the layered florals creates a visual feast, using seasonal flowers with a beautiful scent, such as narcissi and hyacinths, means true multi-faceted sensory magic.
FLORALS IN SEASON
The beauty of spring’s seasonal flowers is they all work beautifully together, while using British-grown seasonal blooms is much more sustainable and kinder to the planet. This season look out for narcissi (which also have the most incredible scent), hyacinths, tulips, ranunculus, hellebores and anemones and create abundant, layered arrangements to grace your home.
