Summer Ready Bedrooms

Hasn’t it been so delightful to finally feel the sun on our faces once more? And looking at the forecast, summer may have arrived! Just as our sartorial choices reflect the season, with knitwear swapped out in favour of floral dresses and light blouses, our homes should too. One of our favourite rooms to get summer ready is the bedroom - we’re not encouraging a full overhaul, just some intentional, seasonally appropriate changes to ensure you wake up happy all summer long. Think cool-to-the-touch bedding, sanctuary like spaces and charming cushions for comfortable sunshine basking.

Inspired by Chelsea Flower Show

Last week we took a trip to the Royal Horticultural Society's flagship annual garden show, Chelsea Flower Show, the jewel of the horticultural world. As usual, we came away brimming with inspiration, for both Coco & Wolf and our own lives and outdoor spaces. From the most beautifully planned gardens and meticulously grown plants and blooms to bountiful ideas for gardening more sustainably and thought-provoking colour schemes, the five day event was nothing short of glorious.

A day out with the RHS

We are beyond excited for a trip to this year’s Chelsea Flower Show later this month. One of the most hotly anticipated events of the horticultural calendar, RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a hive of amazing garden designs, inspiring take-home ideas and glorious blooms. It promises to be a wonderful day out and who knows, we may even come away with inspiration for next Spring Summer’s collection of our Liberty fabric homewares!

Coco & Wolf Handmade in England

Coco & Wolf are extremely proud that all of their pieces are handmade in England. With a rich and varied creative history, Britain often paves the way in the most high quality, luxurious and innovative design and as a brand we are continually inspired by this. Our founder Amy has always had an appreciation for British design and her background in fashion buying means she is incredibly well versed in scouting out the very best inspiration and translating it into pieces which continue the celebrated qualities of British design yet sit effortlessly in homes around the world.

Following a record-breaking month of rainfall we’re all hoping for a blooming beautiful May. Traditionally, it is a very floral month and this year looks to be no different. The month begins with Wildflower Week; a recognition of the colourful blooms that bring our natural landscape to life and a time when we encourage everyone to consider planting wildflowers to create new natural habitats.

Championing Organic

With the coronation of King Charles III just a couple of weeks away we’ve been enjoying taking a look back at some of the achievements of his life so far and it is impossible to ignore the King’s long standing passion for environmental causes. Many of Charles’ years have been spent advocating the benefits of organic farming and gardening and protecting the environment.

Loving Lodden

Originally designed by arts and crafts visionary, William Morris, in 1884, Lodden is one of the greatest historical textile designs. Coco & Wolf all started in 2013 with founder, Amy's love of Lodden and even today, it continues to be one of William Morris and Liberty's most iconic and beloved prints.

Celebrate The Coronation with a Picnic

Next month sees The Coronation of The King and The Queen Consort, with events across the country and a concert at Windsor Castle. Their Majesties want to encourage people to spend the Coronation Weekend celebrating with friends, families and their communities. Saturday 6th May will see The Coronation at Westminster Abbey, on Sunday 7th May The Coronation Big Lunch will encourage neighbours, communities and friends to share food and fun together. And what better way to share food and fun than with a beautiful picnic?

The Coco & Wolf Story

Coco & Wolf was born from an enduring love of Liberty fabrics by our founder, Amy. The former fashion buyer started designing and creating beautiful baby and children’s clothing while pregnant with her daughter in 2012, combining her experience, inspiration and love of Liberty fabrics she created a range of Tana Lawn cotton clothes which couldn’t be found in other retailers.

One of my favourite takeaways from lockdown (don’t shudder as I mention that word) was making everything an occasion. We celebrated the small things, had time to flex our creativity and thought outside the box. It also really taught us all to appreciate the act of sharing. Easter is such a special time of the year. All of us here at Coco & Wolf are unashamedly longing for spring. It may be colourful and spring-like in the studio but the season’s cold spells have kept us firmly in winter’s embrace and now? We’re over it. It is time to awaken from the season of hibernation, I'm sure you will agree. With spring comes the glamourising of being overtly productive and spring cleaning everything within an inch of its life, but what about easing into the new season by doing something just for you?

Exclusive Print Spotlight: Betsy Lace

When you think of Liberty fabrics your mind may naturally wander to bold shades, conversational prints and eye-catching florals. And while thankfully there are plenty of these show stopping Liberty fabrics which we all know and love, we know there is also a special place in many of our hearts and homes for a luxurious and artful neutral. Over the past few years Coco & Wolf have been working closely with the Liberty fabrics team to develop and recolour many of the much-loved fabrics to create brand new colour ways, often reacting to customer’s desires. After the success of Michelle in Sand back in 2021 it was time to create another pale and interesting print and this time it was ever-favourite Betsy’s turn for a reimagining.

We’ve been easing ourselves quietly and gently into the new year, avoiding the “new year, new me” narrative which feels erroneous during this hibernation period. And while resolutions have been retired there has been an unhurried inclination to sort and organise. Thankfully, as the weather outside is so dreary, there is plenty of opportunity to pop on a calm playlist, light my favourite candles and have a clear out in preparation for the big spring clean which ebbs ever closer.
